Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is a medical science that has existed for some 3,000-5,000 years. It is dedicated to the nurturing of the entire human being in body, mind, and spirit. This healing art is rooted in the basic Chinese theory that health is present when the life force, called chi energy, is flowing within a person in a harmonious, balanced way.
Jeff graduated from the national Institute in 2003. Focusing on pain management His massage techniques include Swedish massage, Neromuscular, Myofascial release, Post Isometric Stretching, Orthobionomy, and most recently Chinese massage and acupressure called Tui Na. He has worked along side DC Paul Bizjack at Family Chiropractic of Twinsburg for 7 years, as well as his own privite home practice for 10.
Now he has graduated from American Institute of Alternative Medicine, nationally certified through NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), and is licensed in Ohio as acupuncturist. After 3 years of training and practice he has been able to apply this ancient art/science to help people with things like migraine head aches, gastric reflux, sciatica, anxiety, insomnia, and many other symptoms of imbalance that effect many of us every day.
After getting his start at Solon Massotherapy associates, he is pleased and excited to be working with them again. Jeff also practices out of an office in Columbus and Lancaster Ohio. Traditional Oriental Medicine is a comprehensive system of health care that includes acupuncture, herbal treatments, massage, meditation, exercise and dietary therapy. These therapies work with the natural vital energies inherent within all living things to promote the body’s ability to heal itself.
Disease is considered to arise due to a deficiency or imbalance of
vital energy in the energetic pathways and their associated organ
systems. The pathway or meridians of energy communicate to the
surface at specific locations called acupuncture points. Each point
will have different effects upon the vital energy passing through it. The average number of treatments is between 3 and 12 sessions. Some problems can be resolved in 2-3 treatments while chronic conditions will require more time and treatments.
The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture and traditional Oriental medicine´s ability to treat over 200 commonly encountered clinical disorders including circulatory, gastrointestinal, urogenital, gynecological and respiratory.· In addition, disorders of bones, muscles, joints, ear, eye, nose, throat, emotional and psychological disorders can be treated successfully with acupuncture. It is also accepted as a supportive therapy for many chronic and painful debilitating disorders.
